Z is for Zephyranthes
Howdy folks - I’m going to be on bit of a hiatus until the first week of June.
Meanwhile, please permit me to remind you of a lovely summer blooming bulb that you could tuck in your garden if you wish - Zephyranthes - the rain lily. One of the best parts of June - IMHO - is that the rain lilies return. I do have an article about growing these simple, undemanding flowers on the Gardening With Soule main website.

Thank you for this! I adore the Zephyranthes and in my area it is a much underused plant, which is too bad because of the many different ways to tuck them into gardens. Not to mention the delightful surprise I enjoy when I've forgotten about them and they seem to flower out of nowhere--usually when it's so darn hot and I've just about had it with summer, the sight of rain lilies boosts my morale!
